Biography

Yayuk Windarti is currently a lecturer in the Anthropology Study Program, Brawijaya University. He earned a bachelor's degree in the Department of Anthropology, Brawijaya University (2019) and a postgraduate degree in Anthropology at the University of Indonesia (2022) with an Excellence Scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. In his thesis, Yayuk talks about religious modernization and socio-cultural changes in the Tengger Tribe. He also often discusses issues related to rituals, religious and political change, kinship, governance and infrastructure at national and international conferences.

Her latest research explores the development of tourism in rural and urban environments with the title "Being Artistic and Adaptive: Butuh Society in Creating Wayang Tourism Village” dan “Entangled Emotions of Home in Urban Slum Tourism: Children’s Life Experience at Kampung Warna-warni in Indonesia”.
